Has anyone tried, or know of any way to apply a photochromic tint, or dye to a helmet visor?

I really want to figure out how to apply it to an ODST visor, because I thought it would somewhat replicate the "dynamic tinting" effect that the ODST visors show in the game.

fyi: A photochromic lense is what "transitions lenses" are.

maybe you can try it on a little piece of plastic?(the thing to make your ODST visor)first before putting on the visor.

I haven't seen anything, best person to ask would probably be a materials or chemical engineer. I have a friend who works at exxon and he is gonna ask his materials guys about reflective coating a compound curve visor. Thats another tough question. If you do find out, I would love to hear how you would go about it.

i would say it's do able but a problem i can see about using it is the same that people have with glasses

the glasses darken very quickly but when they de-tint it takes forever

i have a pair of reactions lens in my glasses and they are absolutly useless for driving as when they have darkened you drive into a tunnel and you can't see that well.
