Hi all,

Well now that I'm doing all this work to make my suit all it can be I need some help. I don't know what pose or poses I should make on the stage at Comic Con this year. I'm so nervous and I hate that.:eek::confused::confused::confused::mad::mad::mad:
I hope for the best even when all I want to do is fly off that stage so fast it'll make your head spin so any idea's help. :notworthy:(y)

Thanks guys and happy building!!

I have never done a cosplay contest before so poses on a stage in front of people is completely foreign to me.
You can alway come out and do the classic super hero landing.

Or if you wanna have some fun Power Ranger poses!

Well, let's start with what emotion you want to express with your cosplay since different poses show different emotions.

If you want to display confidence, you'll want your body turned slightly with your legs spaced out and your hands on your hips with your head tilted upwards.

If you want to go the route of triumph, you'll want to do a sort of victory or rally pose with your body leaned forward, one leg in front and another in back, throwing your fist into the air at an angle. (Think of it like the finishing speech before a fight where people cheer and throw their fists into the air, then charge into battle)

Do you know how long you have on stage?

Many contests will have two or three marks to stand on to pose and allow photographers to get good shots with consistent lighting. If there's no marks I find it's good to have two or three, one on each side of the stage and one on the center. This allows you to showcase the mobility of the costume as well as show different angles to the judges.

If you have multiple props this works great, enter stage with large gun prop and showcase that, cross the stage discard the "expended rifle" and draw your sidearm, approach center stage and dab on the haters.

Here is a sample using my Link and four marks.

Position 1 Stage Right, Brandish spear, show judges back of costume, make big noises.

Position 2 Stage Center Front, find Korok under rock, crush korok with rock

Position 3 Stage Left, Draw bow from back, illuminate arrow and "fire" it into the crowd.

If you have halo 5, a good idea is to copy the character stances!

Dude! at a marching band competition, when your band is called you are called to attention and the head/representing guard and drum majors give their "salute". I was at one last year and one of the bands was called, their representing and award receiving drum majors and guard gave the ginu force pose and dance! It was beutiful!

No...

NO!!

And one to the right....

I'm going to show my age here, but this soundtrack ran in my head as soon as I saw this pic:

I have not heard that song in so long. I good friend of mine was a backstreet fan and she would play this over and over in her car when we were driving around town. I'm surprised we never got in trouble for playing it so loud!! ;);):)

Just do what you feel is natural. Personally I’d take a little bit of reference from the stances in halo 4 & 5. It’s clear cut and conveys exactly what you want, to display that sweet spartan booty for everyone to see.
