So I have actually been printing in pla+ it is more heat resistant than normal pla and I use uv resistant clear matte spray paint as my final coat. I dont need a hardening agent because I print thick walls and a decent amount of infill so it is already very hard. I have done a couple of drop tests and no brakes so far. My goal with this build was to use as little toxic material as possible (I have 3 kids that dont understand toxic fuems). The most toxic thing in my build is the glue and spray paint.
Looking great ! How thick are you making your walls and infill ?

Hey sorry for the late reply my infill on average is about 18% some thinner or weaker spots I will up it a bit and my wall thickness is 1.2mm with 3 wall line count

Those are actually the wrong numbers that’s my other print profile for miniatures. I print for my armor 5mm thick wall and 20-40% infill depending on the area

Got most of the rigging figured out and lined up still need to do the knee pads. Waiting on a pair of black zip boots to put together the boots and tomorrow I’ll Finish the glove armor. I did a squat test and there was some foam tear but now I know we’re to some extra material for mobility. Hopefully by the end of the month I’ll have the under suit plasti dipped.

So for the boots I decided to take old work boots and plasti dipped them. Then I foam wrapped them. I then made cover a flap and glued my 3d printed parts to it.
