yes there are more books than the fall of reach, but it is your decision to read them or not...jun was sent to escort Halsey, and Halsey made it off the planet with the help of SPARTAN II's so it is logical, to me, anyway that either jun became *ahem* MIA or he was in another part of the CASTLE complex. It is curious that Halsey never mentions him in any of the novels, but then again, Halo Reach was not entirely correct to The fall of reach John 117 was in possesion of Cortana when he boarded the Autumn, which was before the Covies arrived, and the Autumn came into the Epsilon Eridani system AFTER the Covenant arrived, there are many inconsistiencies between the game and the book, but i am willing to overlook them because, lets face it, Reach was just a totally kick@%$ game, and i still love bungie
and i am almost 100% sure that those were SPARTAN II's at the Lone Wolf level, i looked at their helmets and they looked very similar to MKV/A helmets that the SPARTAN II's were issued. but i could be wrong, i didnt get a very good look.

okay here it is.
if u read anyy halo lore at all. chief isnt the only one left, as for the kid who said jun would train the next gen of sparten 3's, that doesnt make sense cuz the next gen would be 4's of course.
On the shield world of ONYX, a few SII's and a few SIII's are trapt in a mechanism used by the forerunners to protect sentient life from the halo weopon (almost like the arc) they do not age there.
jun is mentioned in the book ghosts of onyx as a unamed SIII and is with dr halsey, whether or not he servived the escort is unknown... check halo pedia. it says unknown also.
and with Noble 6 ( he's a fictional sparten added in)
it sucks he dies, i held out on the last mission, on legendary for 4 hours to were my helmet visor completely shattered, then i died....i hoped maybe i could servive but no.
as for kat she is not KIA.
she is revived on ONI lab sect 5.6 delta station.

the needle round punctures right about the tip of her forhead to her eye so shes kk.

good call here on noticing they are spartan II's. only noble team uses armor varients of MJOLNIR while all other SIII's use the cheap garbage SPi armor.
Any one here get the limited? and if so have you read the journal? The first day read it one of my long standing questions was answered " Why did they never have any Mk IV armor in the game?" I just found out that it was because the tech that they used for the energy shields was taken from the covenant AFTER Mk IV so it made its debut in the Mk V.

jun never escorted halsey. if you paid attention to the discussion before you leave with carter and emile, halsey claims she does not require "escort" so carter "orders" jun to stay with sword base and make sure the covenant dont get their hands on ONI property before it gets demolished (he is making sure demolishion goes as planed, a suicide mission) thats why carter says "good luck rifleman". if you need more proof that he doesnt go with hasley, her pelican takes off while jun is speaking with carter. Boom, Jun either was killed by the demolishion explosion, or killed in the GLASSING of REACH. to be honest though, i was expecting a legendary ending where he would come out of nowhere and save 6, and then they would pull some Halo CE BS and get off of reach somehow. :cool

my impression is that he got glassed with the rest of reach, but i like the idea that he is still alive AND I HOPE HE IS! WE NEED THE LEGACY OF NOBLE TO CARRY ON!!!

The only SPARTAN II of the group was Jorge.
CASTLE could with stand and 80 megaton nuke, it says so in the book. Therefor, It wouldn't be destroyed by mere glassing. Glassing is more superficial, and doesn't penetrate deep below.

not necessarily, all of the SPARTAN 2's were given Mk V armor at Chi Ceti 4, and the Shields were added quite some time later, about 27 years later if i remember correctly
i checked that level, the spartan on the ground does have Jun's armor color, but the armor is all wrong, the helmet isnt right, and the mini-head-ghillie-suit was not on the rear of the torso armor...ergo...that was not Jun, good news, da?

not necessarily, the glass effect might be superficial, but the air would be superheated inside the CASTLE base, more than likely killing anyone inside, and if that didnt happen, overpressure from the plasma rushing into the base would kill anyone, much like the VALKYRIE plan to kill hitler (overpressure from the bomb exploding in the bunker)
but, CASTLE didnt get glassed, Menachite Mountain was mined by the Covenant

Pulled this off of the Halo Wiki. "Jun's current status is unknown, as he was not seen after Noble Team's departure of Sword Base. He was last seen escorting Dr. Halsey away from Sword Base to CASTLE Base under orders from Carter-A259. According to the Halo: Reach Legendary Edition Developer Commentary, Jun is still alive." Pretty frickin' badass, huh?

I heard that Bungie got bought out by sony or something like that...could somone clarify the current Bungie situation?
Bungie sold the rights to the first 3 Halos to Microsoft, basically giving the Halo franchise away in exchange for freedom. Somewhere in the deal I beleive it was worked out that Bungie could continue to make Halo games after 3 but before 3 belonged to Microsoft. I dont really know the specifics.
