Alright folks, I thought it was time to unveil my latest project, although I have not made that much progress yet, as you can see. Alot more detail needs to be inplemented of course, like the Foregrip, Clip and Sight Assembly. But here we go...
Enjoy.

Looks decent at the moment considering you are just starting it. The shape looks pretty good but seems a tidbit small. I'll wait till I see more progress before I make any final assumptions though ;).

Keep it up!

I think the size looks about right. I need to redo my carry handles... Outstanding carpentry as always, V1p3r!

Thanks, Doom. :D
I hope when I'm done with this, it will be moved to the Elite Showcase Section :rolleyes

If you compared the BR size to my feet, your perception is fooling you: My feet were not standing together, but far apart. ;)
The length of it is about 70 cm, Two feet and 3 inches, not including the barrel. It's a good size. ;)

More detailing will commence tomorrow.

Nice job! I just got started myself on a MDF BR. Hope mine comes together like yours is.
I'm also interested on the thickness of yours. I have mine at 1.25 inches.

How thick is it?

Overall thickness is 3.2cm, about 1.25 inches. ;)
But somewhere it can get as thick as 4cm (1.6in.), and some parts are 2.4cm (1in.) thick. There you have it. ;)

Suck it up and finish your rifle! :p

Trust me, you don't want saw dust flying down your lungs when your throat is sore, or work with a running nose. xD
But I am now 90% recovered, and should resume work on Monday. ;)

from the looks of it, its probally 1 to 2 inches thick

If you read a few posts up, I already answered that question. Thanks for stating the obvious. ;)

That looks awfully like an AR-15 barrel with a birdcage flash suppressor. Am I close? Nice work, BTW. Working in wood certainly has its merits.

You're actually dead on. I got some AR-15 Airsoft spare parts from a friend of mine, and I though of using the AR-15 barrel on the BR55. ;)

And thank you. :D I hope to get some more work done today. :)

Where's the update on this thing?

I kid. No pressure.

When I get back home on sunday, of course. ;)
But before I will update you all with pictures, I need to get some progress done first. Hold on to your horses. xD
