Hey, the other day I decided to make Emile's shoulders to go with my armor. I got this picture of Emile http://th03.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2010/339/8/c/emile_a239_by_littleasian-d2icwwf.png
and I did the Method 1 of scaling. I measure myself for 172cm (added 8cm for helmet space to give me 180cm) then divided that by Emile\'s height in the picture which was 17.8 cm (rounded up to 18). I got my magic number which is 9.6 and multiplied the height of the shoulder piece (3.3cm) by that giving me 33.68 cm which i converted to 336 mm.
Now, im halfway done the shoulder piece and it seems too big. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m104/DarkInuyasha12/IMAG0267.jpg

I think the picture I used was a piece drew up by someone on Deviantart so it wasn't to scale, or was not made exactly like the Pepakura piece. If anyone could give me a proper picture of Emile or some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a ton!

the shoulder itself should be about as tall as the helmet, so anywhere between 24 to 30 cm depending on how fitted your helmet is

Thanks for the reply, I dont have the helmet made yet though. I wanted to start off with something small as to build some confidence haha.
I looked at your Emile armor and it looks awesome, how did you go about making the helmet? The huge visor seems a bit daunting to me.

the helmet is just pep but the visor was vacuum formed.
if you want to start small then try the handplates, you almost cant get them wrong lol
