and I am going through sanding pads like crazy to those of you that have one what sanding pads do you use for it? I am looking for something other than the ones by Black+Decker since they only seem to sell assorted packs as far as I can tell.
What a coincidence, I just saw one of these at Home Depot. *insert picture of surprised looking animal*. But yeah, what DreadMullet said, less pressure means you run through it slower.
I've gotten lazy and took regular sandpaper and cut it to size and super glued it to the now "bare" pad that you're supposed to throw away. Works *shrugs*

I think this is what I will end up doing until I get a chance to get back to the store. So you don't have any problems with the heat from the friction softening the glue then?

Superglue won't get soft, it's not like hot glue, when you apply heat hot glue will become hot again, but the superglue doesn't get effected by the friction to my knowledge.

I have used hot glue to glue regular sand paper to those pads on many occasions. I have not had any trouble with it loosening. Unless you are really getting on top of the sander and riding it with your body weight (hey whatever floats your boat) it should not get hot enough to melt the glue.
