Soldier/Student Build..Custom Spartan

Hey there everyone, Im new to the 405th Community but Im definitely not new to the Halo Universe.... Being a National Guard soldier and new college student, Im not going to have a lot of time on my hands. So Im going to do my best to at least get the Helmet Complete by the Halo 4 Release... I have my heart set on this project and any help at all as far as suggestions, and seasoned tips will help me battle the upcoming months of work. I am also very new to Pepakura and the measurements needed to fit my size, so I have already made my way over to the other threads that explain this...

I have the Cardstock, EZ Knife, really strong glue..lol and patience....

Pictures will be coming soon, I have all the parts printed out for the Helmet...

I will be doing an ODST Helmet. My Character on Reach has a back story and everything...its so epic that I can even fit him into the Halo Timeline without it interfering with anything... it says I cant post attachments..I would have posted my Idea if I could...I have it Drawn out and everything.... Photoshop Junky...lol but alas it wont let me. I have started the cut out process of 30 pages....lol hope that sounds about right.... when I resized the parts to fit with an extra 1 1/2 of space I didnt think it would have went from 19 pages to 30... anywayz, everything looks confusing with all the numbers and folds...but Ill get through it...I hope...

Just an update, not much farther than yesturday....lol

yea, you might wanna check into that, the hazops helm I'm doing was 18. can't wait to see some pics!

Just out of curiosity what height did you scale your helmet at because 30 pages for a helmet is quite a bit especially an ODST helmet, from my experiance with the ODST helmet the average height is 290mm to 295mm, or you may have it scaled right and rearanging the pieces is causing all the pages

oh....well the sized Card-stock Im using made me have to rearrange the parts but I made the Height: 274mm Width: 231mm Depth 287mm with a scale of about 510..... not sure if thats correct for my size....as I am currently cutting out the pieces and putting them together. I also added about an 1 1/2 of space for padding.

Alrighty, Ive cut out half of the parts, and so far its looking good.... hopefully its scaled correctly.. it would really suck if it wasnt.

*Update* I have everything cut out and I am starting the Glue of death phase...... anything can happen....Muhahahahha I will update once I have it half/whole..
