Spartan Ii's On Reach

Sergeant Forge is believed to be a SPARTAN-I, and I'm entirely positive that status doesn't qualify any person from immunity to a direct thermoneuclear detonation.

Though, I could be wrong, if you post proof.

Ture, but look at johnson. We know he stayed behind on Halo, but how did he make it off the ring on a Pelican?

I hope Forge survived. He was badass!

OK, well, back on track shall we. Been pondering this over the weekend and have finally come to somewhat of a conclusion. There seems to be a growing trend of similarites between all of these new spartans. Take for instance the spartan from the concept art:

now compare that to the spartan for the cover of Cole Protocol:

and now, to Jorge

and now, Noble Six

I'm guessing this will be one of those, "wing it" type builds. A compilation of Concepts as I see fit. to build the most accurate spartan from my thoughts. What do you guys think?

Hmm... Yeah, I don't know that is one standard Mark or Class of Mjolnir. Look at Jorge's left shoulder. That's a pretty beefy protective plate.

It could possibly be a heavy-weapons derivative of some sort.

Then again, from the looks of it, none of Noble seems to have a standard armor set, so maybe that'll be explained.

EDIT: Upon more inspection of Jorge's armor, nothing on his body looks to be standard...

Quite a lot of what he's wearing seems to be standard as far as the other Spartans goes. Take a look again at the boot caps, thighs, codpiece, upper arms (less the shoulder shields) and torso. Except for that the torso has the yellow plating, holding his thermos of hot cocoa, and the big purpleish shield, those bits look exactly like what the other members of Noble team wears.

The cod and the thighs i can definitely see similarities. The shins and the bootcaps look to be pretty different. The forearms look to be substantially armoured...

I've attached the images I'm drawing my comparisons from....

I never said that the gauntlets or shins aren't different, but looking at it, the shins do have several similarities with the originals. Take a look at these pictures.

Boots, boot caps and shins:

Bootcomp.jpg

On the left Jorge's foot, on the right another of the Spartan's (hijacked the photo from another thread). The boots appear identical, the boot caps appear similar, with Jorge's being just larger. The shins themselves look just like really beefed up shins. The patterns are definitely the same. The real difference is the knee cap, where Jorge has a much bigger one.

Upper arms:

Armcomp.jpg

Left is a screenshot from Bungies homepage, right is Jorge from the trailer. I see no difference, other than Jorge's attachments.

Chest:

Chestcomp.jpg

To the left a screenshot from Bungie, on the right Jorge again from the trailer. Look at the similarities in the circles, top to bottom. The front of the chest looks exactly like standard with the add on of Jorge's thermos. The bottom circle is to highlight the metal "spike" portruding downwards. You can also see the arms in this shot in similar angles, again looking identical.

Back:

Backcomp.jpg

On the left a screenshot taken from the Vidoc Once more Unto the Breach of one of the other Spartan's (don't know who), on the right a screenshot of Jorge from the same Vidoc, clearly without his backpack. Notice the similarity in the red, blue and green lines. Jorge's yellow cover seems to come over the top part of the backpack, highlighted with pink lines.

Hey, I didn't finish reading Ghost of Onyx but didn't spartan 051 get secretly taken by the UNSC to train the Spartan III's so he's probably still alive, right? And in the Cole Protocol doesn't gray team get left behind when the rest of the Spartans go to Reach before the planet gets glassed?

Ooh! I can't spoil it for you!!! but yes, gray team is too far behind enemy lines to be recalled for Reach. Let me tell you, Spartans never die.... they live on in the minds of their enemies.

Cheers!

Well actually thanks for not spoiling it for me because now the book is getting really exciting and I dont know if Kelly or Kurt will survive Onyx.

read Halo: First Strike, it explains how he got off Halo, and it's a filler how the Master Chief got back to earth.

"you just got learned"

He would've had the same armor the Chief had during CE,

The picture that was suggested what armour he would be wearing was a redesign of the Mjolnir mark V, which IS the armour chief was wearing in CE just, you know, made to look better.

Let's not forget as well, that in all probability (From general assumptions of Real-world Military units...) that they are issued the bare minimum of what they need to wear/use.

Chances are, though, with as much battle experience as they state that Noble Team has, they've probably made some personal investments into what they were carrying into battle. It honestly wouldn't surprise me that with Jorge's

stature he would need to have made some adjustments. AS Heinlein said: 'There's only two sizes in this military, boy, Too big or too small.'

We also don't know if Armor = Different Capabilities/Ability. We'll just have to see when Reach Drops if Jorge has more Shield or health than everyone else.
