With materials to work on the pep helmet for my ODST in the mail, I figured I might as well take a crack at something a little different to pass the time while I wait for things to be delivered.
Yes, that is a pilot helmet from the original Star Wars trilogy. Custom modeled from basically every source I can find, with one final goal in mind - the first 3D printed OT Rebel pilot helmet (that I know of).
The box in the background above is the 3D printer itself.
I intend to use the 3D print as a base, before smoothing it with body filler or something similar, hence the thicker layer height. However, I won't be wearing it. I'll be wearing a cast version of it - when I finish it.
