Starship Trooper Body Armor

I got a Request from a Friend who wants the Suite from the Movie "Starship Troppers", so i wanted to ask if someone has ever made the Body Armor and the Helmet?



I think the best Start would be done with Cardboard, or, if its possible, does someone sell a Suite?

yes i absolutly loved this movie(s)

i think i should deserve a cookie for this armour reference and kits



there only model as far as i can see there but great references and also looks like it can be made of modified marine / odst armor

This looks like an AWESOME idea, and a fun build. It looks like most of the "armor" is just grey rubber parts over a black t-shirt. It's definitely flexible, wouldn't want to make a full vest like that out of something solid. Might look into some sort of fexible cast material. Just my first thought on the matter. Good luck!



I haven't seen that movie in quite a while, but it was a big influencing factor in my childhood. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I know now that the Body Armor is completely made out of hard Rubber, the Question here is, where someone can get Rubberplates, that would make it very easy.



The Vest itself has 2 Pieces, one that looks like the ODST Torso for the Back and one Cummerbund for the Front.



If i got all my Projects done i think i´m gonna try this Vest, but i dont promise anything, because i dont have very much Space for another Builds, first someone must buy me some Stuff off^^

In addition to the Starship Troopers franchise, you might be able to get some reference shots on the armor from the TV show firefly since the alliance forces used the same armor.
