The death of an ODST

Ladies and gentlemen it is with heavy heart that I announce the death of a fellow ODST, a brother, a teacher, family to me and to the 19th Bn, Bravo Company off of one of Halo Reach’s finest clans, formerly known as FleetCommand…

ODST T Stark, known legally as Alexander Sparks, was one of the handful of ODST’s that taught me what it means, to be just that, even as I type this now, it brings a tear to my eye to see a man that I’ve known for 6 years, a good man, pass away before a community that is larger than you would think, he touched many hearts and souls, always preached about having the proper medical supplies and what to do with said medical supplies as he was a paramedic for Shelby County, in Tennessee.

What I had been doing around the time that the other 19th Bn ODST’s heard of this news and spread it, I was asleep, only when I woke up around 3 am from night terrors, I saw a ping on discord, in the 19th Bn Alpha Company Server, it piqued my interest because normally the 19th Bn servers are quiet, little to no pings unless it’s an emergency really, well, I woke up to just THAT, from my brother Andy Dawkins, another ODST from the 19th Bn who I met in person, announced the death of ODST T Stark, when I saw this I was completely and utterly sick to my stomach, I was in disbelief, I couldn’t sleep for the rest of the entire morning till my alarm went off, all that was in my mind was the one drowning thought that kept me awake and in shock, “Stark is dead… When did I last speak to him? When did I last game with him?”, it was even worse that we all had just gotten the news around that time, even though his death was marked as of 2025, in June, even now my brothers and sisters are spreading the word that one of the UNSC’s finest, that one of the ODST’s finest, is gone, and he will never come back to us…

To be an ODST in a halo reach clan, it wasn’t just about who was the most skilled at combat, they tested you on parkour, lore knowledge, MOS training for special armor perks and gear you get to use in raids, teamtacs, and other events, sometimes even leadership, yes, it came with hazing, with discipline, and in the end you wore the badge of honor and you were built into a better person sometimes even, well, Stark had it all in spades, he was one of the best teachers I ever loved and fought alongside with, and I’ll miss him every day, he will never be forgotten by us, in honor of him, I was granted permission to post this forum about a hero I knew and loved, a hero who saved lives, and never bragged about it, a hero who taught generations of ODST’s, and made them better people, in honor of him, I present to you all these photos of him, and his work, and yes even his cosplay, as he was a fellow cosplayer…

For those of you in the 405th, thank you for taking the time to read about the loss of one of the UNSC’s finest, ODST T Stark, rest in peace, brother…
