No, it really can't. Some guys from NerfHaven were at the event, and they noted the mechanism must have been in the back, which means there's no way you could retain firing capability and AR/BR aesthetic.

Go for aesthetic mods; they make some pretty cool stuff. But for a functional mod, you're gonna have to wait until Nerf releases a bullpup blaster.

Well, If you do modify the area around the clip, you could leave a small opening to extract the clip from. And you could create a removable 'anti-kibble' clip in the back as well.
