Iv been lurking here for some time. I ran accross Pepakura around 5 or so months ago, and thaught id give it a go. I made a Halo 3 hlmate, alass only out of paper, so it subsiquentl got crushed, but shortly after that i cam across this forum and its been very usefull.

A little while ago i made an ODST helmate, which came out pitty well. I pulled the file from the Halo Costuming wiki, i beleave the file was by 'RUNDOWN'. well anyway heres the pictures.

i had a little trouble with the center of the forhead, but other than that its not bad.
I'm going to resin and fiberglass it and then its going to a freind of mine for his Birthday, which is on the 4th August.

I also made a Low def Iron man helmate for my fiancée's brother, for his 5th Birthday. Tell me what you all think of it.... I know its not overly detailed, but i made sure it was sturdy, rather than detailed. I hardend it with paper mache, instead of resine and fiberglass.

The other day I was browsing and i ran across some realy good sliced M6 files by
fat-hi555 in his thread. so i made one in card, and after some minor alterations i scaled it up to the accurate size and cut it out in Plywood. Its held with masking tape at the moment, but I will be glueing it eventualy.

I also made the adition to make it an M6G (or D)

Well thats all iv got for now. I'll be hardening the ODST helmet sometime in the early part of the week, and hopefully doing some more to the M6, inculding an SOCOM addition (also by fat-hi555).

Well tell me what you think of it all. Any feedback would be apreciated.

Nice ODST Helmet :O
And it's nice of you to make a helmet for your soon-to-be brother in law :p
Also, congratulations! :D

Thanks for the cometns guys!
Ye that center peace was realy anoying, and i found out why it was so hard to figure out once i had finished the rest of the helmate, and still had two little peaces left over.... ahh well =P
To be honest im not sure how long it took me, I finished it at least a month ago, if not more but I'd say an hour or two a day for a week maby slighy more or less but something like that. It was the second complex thing i had tried.

I felt bad not getting him anything so i found the files for that and quickly knocked it togeather, there wernt that many peaces in it so it was a quick build. But he seemed to like it..... although admitedly he thaught he was a Darlek... should probebly have shown him some Ironman first =P
And thankyou, Cirkob for your congratulations =]
At some point i may actualy get something else done =P but for now things arnt realy proceeding, and i have a bust few eeks ahead.

Well the ODST helmate is now Fiberglassed, I had a few hours the other day to harden it, and then today I got the inside all done.
It was a rather messy job, but I think I pulled it off pitty well, dispite it beeing my first go.
Ufortunatly i forgot to take my camera with me when I went to do the fiberglass so there arnt any pictures for you lovely people but I will take some as soon as posibble. (Which will alass be a few days as im not going to be at home for a few days.)

Well at last I have pictures! =D

There it is head on.

From the side.
ODSTFiberglassInside.jpg

And finaly the inside.
All the fiberglassing went well, I got it done in around 2 and a half hours with not injuy or spillage, though unfortunatly when it was sat upside down it pushed the top in on one side slightly, however nothing that couldent be fixed with a little bondo and sanding.

I will trim away the sharp spiky bits of fiberglass asap, but that is alass about as far as tis project will go, as on the 4th it will be going to its new home at my freinds, for his Birthday.
Im in two minds about cutting out the visor. I dont know wether it would look better with or without, since it will probebly become just a display peace.

Thanks for looking =]

That's an awesome helmet. Good work. It's clean and not warped. Uber-mega props. I'm getting ready to make one just like it. Hope it turns out like yours did.

Not much of an update but I'll post it anyway. Today I managed to cleen up the neck and get half the visor off. I'd have got alot more done but I had batery problems with the rotory tool I was using.... hopefully I can get it finished off tomorow, as its chargin now. =D
Anyway picture!

Thanks for all your coments guys (and girls?)! I'm amazingly pleased with how this is turing out... I would have expected alot more to go wrong on my first atempt. Supose I'm lucky. =P

Well sorry for the lack of updates but I had a few things going on, and then my laptop decided to kill itself so I'v been unable to get back to 405th. I do however have pictures of the finished helmet (minus the visor).
I will be posting those tomorrow hopefully. And I may also have an update on the Pistol.
