Im under the impression nobody has thought of Carbon fiber or Kevlar...

Actually Carbon Fiber has been suggested numerous times but as far as I know no-one has invested the funds to produce any pieces. Part of the issue is the need for a vacuum system to get decent results. Maybe you can be the first?



No real need for a sticky yet - now a tutorial featuring a full C/F build, that would need a sticky...

I made my own vacuform table out of a) a 2x4 frame, :coola plywood bottom, c) pegboard vacuum surface and d) a strong vacuum, of course.



It is very cheap and very easy. You could make one for a couple bucks by following directions on YouTube. But instead of laying a frame w stretched, heated plastic directly onto a buck, you could make a vacuum box.

So basically you would replace the fiberglass cloth with carbon fiber or kevlar? Or am I wrong, considering you are talking about a vacuum box, I assume you aren't using resin for it, or that the vacuumbox helps harden the resin or something... lol.
