tue early morning progress after I worked on my RC chest for awhile

I do, sometimes, but remember I had all winter to build pep models and I only work 4 days a week now so I spend all day tue and weds just working on stuff

hated the clone helmet, but yours is fantastic... it doesnt look stupid like most of them, there is just something about it i like... so i cant wait to see what you do with my favorite perm helmet.

That's because it's a Republic Commando helmet. They are far better than standard clones.

ehhh... no need to get technical... there is just way to many variations of clonetroopers, for me to keep track.

to try to answer your question first I smoothed out a main layer as you can see in the first few pics then I used a marker and some templates I made with a ruler and I just eye balled it to draw all the lines of where it needs to be riased, I taped off the parts that where didnt need anything extra then I added the bondo to the raised parts and pulled the tape straitened the lines with the knife and repeated to add to the raised areas till I got the desired height, and I did a lot of sanding in between. I really wish I had a video camera to show this technic but it will have to wait. hope that kinda helped

The bondo work is just perfect, so clean and crisp! This will look beautiful when it's all done.

The chest piece is coming on well too! I'm looking forward to seeing everything finished, it all looks pretty snazzy so far!

I think I'm understanding it now. You layer it until you get the height you want.

lol! no its my iphone maybe one day they will have a video functions, that would make it the ultimate phone, even cooler if you could edit and upload strait to you tube

ok had sat off but it was super cold but I got budled up in my work clothes and got outside to work on the helmet I only got a few hours in as it started to snow and rain but heres what I was able to do.

thanks Rundown and skip, I think its coming along nicely but there are still more to do. oh and skip I'm putting the RC shoulders together started last night pretty easy build I'm thinking though of cutting out the detail in the middle of the shoulder and just making it flat then I'll build it up with bondo I'll post it on my RC build thread later
