Tinting Homemade Visor

I've made a visor for my MK VI helmet project, and boy is it beautiful... That is, it would be if I could tint it.



I have attempted to use self-adhesive window tinting material neumorus times, but I;m about ready to shoot myself in the head. Is there any other extremely inexpensive way to tint this? Purchasing one pre-tinted is not an option.

There are spray on tints. I haven't tried them myself and I'm not sure how effective they are, but they might be something to look at.

Also another way to tint your visor is go to any auto store & buy nightshade from the spraycan lane.
