Underarmour consistancy

This may seem a strange question, but... what is the consistancy of folks underarmour? More so.. the padded ridge bits (as seen in pictures). Is it soft foam? Hard foam? rigid plastic?

I'm strongly considering making my own underarmour suit. The MC pics I've seen make it look like there's some fair rigidity to the exposed parts.

hah great! i was actually thinking the exact same thing. im actually going to use a wetsuit as the base of the under suit then cast the "under armor" armor in rubber and sew it on.
