Ok This is going to be my first project ever. I was out going to garage sale and I got this sweet Sony Camera Case for free (Man I do love free boxes lol)

I though it would be cool to Turn it into a UNSC Styled Weapon Case. Although I will most likely be turning it into a UNSC controller case (lol again)

Here are some pics:

Its a Good Size (About 5-8 inches deep)

The Lid is Spring Operated so it pops open instead of having to lift it yourself /lazy

Now I had one question about this..I really dont have much money but I want to fill in the Sony Impressions

(These Ones)

They are on the side and the handle. I need a cheap way to fill those in a make them flush with the rest of the case.

Is there some kind of affordable filler clay I can use or something?

It is going to be tricky with the way that outside is textured. It will be a pain to get it to look the same. The one on the handle you could fill in, but the other on the side is the real problem. Have you though about maybe making up your own logo to go over it? I am sure that filling it in won't be hard, but getting it to match? I would love to give you an answer, but anything I tell you would not help make it match, and that is what you want.

Hopefully someone else reading this has a good idea on how to make it match.

Oh What ever I use I was going to fill it in and then do a VERY thin Layer over the rest of it to match it. Then I am going to paint it.

Try bondoing the indentations in, then hitting the bondo with Primer and Hammered metallic paint. That will give it a similar look. There are also textured spray paints that you can get, which may work.

Sweet another weapon case made from a camera case. here is a pic of my magnavox case turned smg case.

Here's how you fill up and retexture the letters on the case. First use plaster over a area of the case that is flat and a little larger then the area with the letters. This is going to be your Texture Stamp. When your plaster has harden and is dry you fill the letters with bondo right up to the edge (maybe just a little higher) Before the bondo has harden you press your plaster stamp into the bondo and let the bondo harden before you take the plaster away. After it has dried you might wanna lightly sand the area with sandpaper and then you need to paint the case so that the bondo looks the same as the case :)

You can just fill in the sony letters with bondo and sand it. Then paint the whole case with either that hammered finish paint suggested earlier or that textured truck bed coating they sell at any walmart.Dont try to match the origianl finish of the case that would not we worth the trouble. You should probably do some weathering and beat the case up a bit so it looks well used.
