using an ipod as a tv

i found a cable the other day that allowed for playing of ipod videos on a tv. i was wondering, can this be reversed? and play a game system or hook up a dvd player to the ipod and use it as a tv? does such a cable exist?

I seriously doubt it. iPod is meant as a mass storage device, not a lonely little LCD screen.

There's no reason why not, you'd need a tunner and probably some code to compress and convert the video signal, there is a lot of cool homebrew stuff coming out for the touch's and iphones though so if it cant be done now its probably only a matter of time.
