Okay, this is the third time I've tried to write my post here. My computer keeps fecking up, so I lose all of my pre-posted-post and have to restart. Each time it has gotten progressively dumber, so here is the dumbest of them all, so sorry for the lame-ty
This is my [simplified] idea for an awesome (but appaulingly expensive and complicated) HUD system:
Supplies:
-One of
these in the shape of your visor
-A powerful, yet compact computer system (all flash-drives to eliminate inevitable shock damages)
-A lot of wire or an extremely expensive and probably non-existant wireless....ugh nevermind
-A small fish-eye camera
-Other stuff that I can't think of
You put
your HUD screen over your visor and connect it to the computer using our "Make-believe-highspeed-wireless-data-exchange-system". You then position the small fish-eye camera on the front of your visor pointing forward (this will provide the video of what is infront of you for real). Connect this to the computer as well, via our MBHWDE System. This is where the MAGIC happens. The computer takes the live feed from the camera and super-imposes a semi-transparent HUD over it, then sends the combined video to your visor, and VOILA!
You now have the most complex, improbable, expensive, but totally awesome Helmet/HUD system known to MAN!
Enjoy. Now go get a cookie: you deserve it after reading this.
