these pep where made by movieman so all thanks goes to him.

" I originally did this last year for some friends who wanted to be Ghostbusters for last halloween.

After construction of each part, I fibreglassed over the card to produce a stronger model, I used 2 layers of fibreglass tissue as this is easier to work with, a better smoother finish, but still turns out very strong. After I had completed assembly I added lights and LED effects. The finished item was amazing and went down a treat.

So here is your chance, for any would be ghostbusters ot there to make your own proton pack.

Please note: I made a mistake and the 3D model came out the wrong way round (mirrored) I did not notice this fact until I had completed all the unfolding, so to put this right I have inverted the 2D page so the model will be constructed the right way round.

Once i have uploaded all the parts you will have a full, complete proton pack.... proton gun and Ghost Trap.

So what you waiting for........... the world needs saving"

thanks mate for letting me upload the files :)

them 2 files i don't know the password sorry.

but you can view and print them in pep view.

measurement were take from blue print / templates so they don't need scaling

here are links for the same pack it need's unfolding its inverted the right way.

there is no password.

I just hope some one can help make this movies actuate

width 358mm

height 657mm

here are the plans on size for each area

The proton pack was my first venture in to propping. I have completed packs, and tons of spare parts lying around. if you need any measurements for anything specific let me know.

a combination of stefans and venkman71s plans. and i have light kits installed, but no sound. the hyperdyne labs kits are way too expensive, and it seems that exorays kits arent going to see the light of day due to some personal matters in exorays life pulling him away from propping.

if you have time.

please can you have a look at the 3 pdo files and tell me If you had your proton pack in front of you and could see just them parts in the pdo.

Please what would the measurements Height-Width-Depth be in cm or mm.

thank you for this.

do you have a custom motherboard then is it removable ?

what size in total is the pack h/w ?

all its info is very helpful.

thank you.

not mine but this is how our pack's i hope will look

the motherboard is a multimediamayhem motherboard. they are cut to fit shells based on stefans plans. and did you need measurements for specific pieces, the entire thing, or all of the above? and i had made the suggestion in a previous pep pack thread that you take off all the accessories. things like the HGA, the PPD, booster tubes, and a handfull of other items are on the model and unfold, but would make the build much much more difficult. there are sellers all over the place that already sell the accessory parts, and even if you didnt want to buy them from a seller, there are many many other better ways to create some of them instead of using pep.

Im right there with you on that Goose...I managed to get blueprints from a ghostbusters group and im building my packs out of styrene. Since the shapes are all basic cubes and flat planes there is no need to add the extra step of pepakura.

im not sure if we are talking about the same pieces. the ones i think should be done away with are the following:

PPD

HGA

Filler Tubes

Booster Tube

Injector Tubes

Maaaaybe the N-Filter

And possibly the gearbox tube, and the connecting tube down near the cyclotron.

see what i mean? mainly tubes. you get a few sections of pvc or wooden dowels and youve got most of those parts made, just by cutting the correct length, instead of the hassle of trying to round the items from the pep stage and so on. im really interested in styrene tho, ive seen tons of builders use it, and it seems like a fairly easy medium to use, especially when youre doing something like a proton pack with not too much actual detail in the body shape.

the team and i are planning on making and molding our own shell, and are thinking about splitting the two methods. pep or styrene scratch build for the top half, and then trying to find some junk part that i can match to the correct cyclotron dimensions, and then using styrene or something similar for the cosmetic plating on it. its going to be a fun build either way.

your right that's what I want to do just make a pep fiberglass shell.

you see I didn't make the pdo files,

how ever i am working on editing them to remove the pipes as I type.

do you think its would be best to edit the resistor too then ?

you see as the pdo files are made up, its a pain trying to workout if its right.

I just want to make the shell above and save 265+p&p lol

it would be great for us all too.

the height width and depth.

in photo 3 if you feel i should remove the handle.

please measure to the tube.

if you feel i should remove the tube.

please to the edge of the block

thanks.

with these measurements i hope to be able to add a motherboard that are the same size as stefans plans

The wand is still in progress? Ive got the 3 files for the Proton Pack.

here is the proton gun, all thanks goes to movieman again. :cool

Here is another piece for all you ghostbuster fans out there, this is the proton gun to go with the pack..... file format is PDO and I have left it unlocked for those who wish to rescale it. I have guessed the scale, but feel free to edit to meet your needs.
