Zabstract's Rakshasa Build

Hello everyone! It's time for a new suit! This go around I'll be tackling the Rakshasa armor core! I've decided to actually document this as I go instead of making the thread after the suit is finished. This will be my 3rd suit that I've made, following my ODST armor and a Helldiver armor set. Current Goal Deadline: June 2026

I've used the Charred Rose armor coating as a basis and went on to use the SpartanPack in Blender to make some changes. I'm not huge on asymmetry so this is what I've come up with. I plan to make the chest modular so that I can switch between Ruckamuck Hippotooth (Left) and Redsteel Heartplate (Right)

I also didn't want the empty backside and considered doing an ODST rucksack but ultimately I've also decided to incorporate a back plate like the one seen in this armor concept by @evactouch on twitter. Also the knives...

I will be using a mixture of 3D files from AguilarWorkshop, Galactic Armory, TitleWaveDesigns, and 938 Armory.
A majority of the suit will be printed in PETG with details and a visor printed in resin. I also plan to print the lower legs in TPU.
As far as the undersuit, I will probably start off with a BDU but want to implement a game accurate one some time down the road. I have limited experience with sewing things such as basic shirts and pants, capes, and straps. Otherwise I may commission it.

More rakahsasa, let's go! Aguilar and Titlewave files are awesome. Feel free to reach out about questions, I've done three different Rakshasa suits! Can't wait to see this concept come to life.

Will post more pictures at some point. But here's some scaling tests for the legs. The legs have been printed in TPU. All that's left as far as printing are the boot covers and the helmet visor.

I've begun sanding the helmet as it comes in several pieces. With how many nooks and crannies are on this thing, the way Aguilar modeled all the separate pieces is GREATLY appreciated.

I've also reinforced any seams with metal staples and fiberglass resin. The Helldiver I made previously has started cracking at where the 4 sections intersect in the center of the chest plate so I'd like to try and avoid that with this suit.

Started off sanding the TPU Legs and filling the seams with Alex Flex Seal but I have since coated all my TPU parts entirely and will sand back down to try and help hide more of the layer lines.
