Ok, at my school there is this engineering club thing... One day walking by waiting for tennis practice i see them working with (to my utter amazement) fiberglass. Needless to say, the entire first floor A wing smelled like crap. Looking inside, i saw: GASP! none of them (NOT A SINGLE ONE) were wearing any kind of respiratory or eye protection! later that day, I talked to my friend who also said that they should, but the rest of the club ignored him. Looking around the forums, I can also see people using dust masks as respirators. Personally, I use a good respirator, but I've always wondered about the dangers of fiberglass. Anyone know?
EDIT: This was in a Closed barely ventilated Tech./woodworking Room and they were using enough Fiberglass to cover an entire Go-cart (their project).
