Hips plates are done! Now i'm on to the shins and then the boots, wish me luck men and women!
What do you guys think? This is my first time building a foam suit.

Great job on those hip plates. Its always the little things that keep the motivation going. Keep it up!

Thanks, im just trying to finish the Shins then move onto the thighs. I'm going frmo toe to head, thinking about if i should try to make the boot covers or not

Update: okay so i made the shins, but they are a bit to small to make a full connection around my legs, so im trying to figure out what i can do. Also my calves came out a bit funny looking, but this is my first time making a suit. I am very happy with the knee pads

Martin. So glad that you stuck with it!

To make the shin fit, I would just draw out an extra piece that would fit in the gap and connect the pieces.

Thanks, i most likely will. The part i put in to fill in the gap i am going to add the straps with them so i can tighten the shins when i put them on. I also need to find a good undersuit or something to wear with this

You should be proud of those knee pads !!In fact, be proud of every thing!!!! Top job dude!!

When sealing the EVA....heat gun (carefully) prior to gluing...3 thin coats of watered down elmers glue..let dry, followed by 3-4 heavier coats...let dry...then a couple coats of the LET. Primer, paint and clear coat if you'd like. Remember, this is not set in stone but seemed to finish nicely. The key to foam is to shoot for a fiber glass/ finished look ; ). Hope this helps buddy...

Also do you guys think i should do the boot covers? i am going to wear my Merrell combat boots and it matches this color setup that i am going for.

Also what kind of helmet do you guys think i should use? I was thinking either the ODST sniper helmet or a Recon helmet.
