Hey guys, this is going to be a build thread on the repaint of this Mark V helmet. I am going to make it match my Spartan II cosplay, and I have a halloween party coming up so I must make this quick. Attached you will see the materials that I’ll be using and the Helmet that I’ll be repainting.
It should be a blast but I am going to use supervision and assistance from family members within my household. Don’t worry, this will be a blast to do! (I promise I won’t spam the forums, as I learned from my previous mistake.

Update #1. The white is already sprayed with Olive paint. Now the time has come to wait for it to dry up. Is there anything else I can do to improve? People everywhere are saying it’s good but I want everyone here’s thoughts.

Update #2: So the orange on the helmet will be painted black. I also realized that my armor does not match with the helmet so I’m going to weather it as we go. Thoughts everyone? (I’m trying not to spam but I’m putting updates as we speak to show off my progress)

Looking good so far! Is the helmet 3d printed?
Affirmative. It is 3D printed. I bought it and I got permission to repaint it. (Although he wasn’t on board with me repainting it, he couldnt stop me because it’s my helmet and I bought it. He’s was against it at first but then he said “Just do it, it isn’t my helmet anymore lol”)

Update #3: We put the black spray paint and are now preparing for it to dry so we can peel off the tape and show off the helmet at a party! Now, I must ask everyone, what are your thoughts on this helmet? Any feedback will be most appreciated.

Update #4: Everything seems to be good, although there is some Orange left over but that will be fixed. This is NOT the final product, as the helmet must be matched to my SPARTAN II armor. Thoughts so far, everyone?

Update #5: We’re approaching the final phase of the repaint. I will stick with the visor that we have currently before getting a new one. The repaint is complete but we need to attach the visor before it’s fully complete. I will provide updates as usual.

Final Update: the helmet is finally complete, ready to wear and ready to suit up with it. According to many, people seem to love it as we speak, so I guess we did a pretty good job.
