I've noticed a few things I need to fix, but overall I'm very pleased with this helmet. Its soon becoming my favorite one right now, I can wait to finish this build! Now I need to move om and work on peping the chest so I can redo the arms, they came out way to big.
Let me know what you think and stay tuned!

So I was looking at the game model of the helmet last bight and I noticed something that was mussing from the helmet, the bottom rim. I got to thinking that it could be something fairly easy to remedy, I could put a piece of foam on there and detail it out to look like the game model. And the fact that it would be a soft piece it would probably be more comfortable that way.

Any way, I'm leaving this part for a while now, gotta pep that chest piece now.

Gonna rely on some more vet builders here, been peping the chest and wanted to get an opinion before proceeding.
Does this look too small so far? When dealing with the space marine it was bulkier is better but this armor is a bit more form fitting and I want to look right so some help is appreciated.
One thing to consider is I can just barely fit my head through the neck hole and the collar is touching my neck. I know that I will be splitting the chest, but if its doing this pre glass and bondo should I consider this a problem and scale larger? Or do most people suggest i cut the collar out post glass and add in a foam one?
Here are some reference shots.

Any help/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I can help with that! I suppose I may be thinking "Why does my neck feel so tight in this piece!?" Dunno why, but for the model you're using I recommend not doing that neck guard/Seal bit. Its much easier to go with a later foam piece. when scaled right, the neck is usually small, chances are you're going to have to go with splitting it at one point anyways though. Chest looks good, remember its going to have a bit under the actual armor that extends out. So far so good!

Cool! Yeah that does help alot, now I gotta finish peping this bad boy out so I can move onto the arms. After having issues with pep for the shoulders ,unless I can scale them right to get them to work, it looks like I'm going to have to use foam for those. But we shall see, hoping to start glassing some finished pieces this weekend.

I agree with what DH748 said, when I was making my kat helmet there was a neck seal portion of it that I had to cut out because it was waay too small for my head to fit through. Because the fit of your helmet looks perfect in proportion to the chest piece, I would say that you are in the same problem that I ran into. Just cut out/sand down the neck-seal area of the helmet.

Other than that it all looks great

It looks spot on for scale.
As Posted on FB:
" It was a very well thought out piece aside from the superhero look (small head) witch is how the game was made and why it doesn't fit most real peoples head. I hope this clears every thing up." :D

Most people, (myself included) just replace that part with foam. :cool

Thanks for all the advice guys, I think the replacent with foam thing is what I will do for sure. Now I just have to get through this agonizingly slow day at work so I can get back home to pep this thing some more.

OK so a little bit of progress not a whole of time to work lately

OK so my original fear of this being too small has been washed away, I'm quite pleased with the size its turning our to be, now my only problem is the forearm is too big, by about a inch and a half I'd say. So I have to go ahead and repep that one. But my hope is to finish up the chest tonight so it can be glassed/rondo'd this weekend.

The glassing of the chest piece has begun, got the whole back rock solid now and half of the pieces that connect the back to the front. Gonna work more on it tonight and hopefully finish this thing up!

Progress has been a little slow here lately, I decided to redo the helmet. I wasn't really happy how the EOD turned out so I decided to change it up and go grenadier for the helm.

Also redid the forearm and got two completed ones now, gotta finish the helm and move on to the shoulders

Ah, NICE I like the progress. Haven't heard anything in awhile and got worried :p
Sad to see the helmet is not going to be used, I though it was BA. But grenadiers Cool too! good luck, hope it comes out the way you want it.

More than likely I will finish it, and cast a mold from it or something. I just wasn't happy with how I went about doing it, I really rushed it and it showed. So no more rushing for me I am taking my time throughout. Lol
