Naja, aber Styrol stinkt fürchterlich, oder hab nur ich die falschen chemikalen gekauft? ^^ Ich habs selbst probiert, ist nicht so meins das Rondo. Klar, man spart schon sehr viel Zeit, aber die Rüstung wird auch um einiges schwerer. Härter bekommst du die Sachen auch definitiv mit Glasfasern. Aber jedem das seine.

Ja wie du sagst jedem das seine ... ich selbst bevorzuge das schwere ich will es ja spüren können .
Den helm den ich gerondoet habe der is zwar gewichtig aber nicht so schwer dass man ihne nicht tragen kann...

50:50 Mischung. einfach eingießen und verteilen das wars.
ja es stinkt nur stinkt das harz alleine auch das du fürs fieberglas verwendest.

Bondo geht damit aber nicht, da beide Komponenten eine Polyesterbasis haben sollten.

It's been a bit since I've checked up on your progress. Great looking work. Nice clean pep and everything.

As to the way your putting in the fiberglass, there's nothing wrong with that method at all. I'd recommend that you keep doing it that way, because I tried the spray adhesive way and it was a mess and I wound up with a lot of air bubbles in the piece, so I couldn't sand into it to level out a lot of pieces. After I'm done with my son's build, which won't be much longer, I'm going to start on mine to have it for next year. I'll be using Rondo instead of fiberglass on it for reinforcement. I found that it will save me countless hours with the fiberglass cloth and resin.

Haha, gute Einstellung!
Das erinnert mich grade irgendwie an DragonballZ, wo die auch immer so sauschwere Unterhemden zum Trainieren und Kämpfen anhatten, als sie die dann ablegten, waren sie natürlich gleich mal viel schneller unterwegs.

rondo mischt man reacht einfach ab. so wie du spachtel und harz machst in einer geschätzten 50:50 menge. jeweils erstmal anrühren und mit härter versehen. erst danach beide komponenten zusammenschütten und gut verrühren.

bei rondo solltet ihr euch aber klar machen, dass es anfällig für verformungen ist durch das hohe gewicht und zudem sind die fertigen stücke aus nur rondo (ohne glasfaser verstärkung) zwar druckstark sind, aber wenn euch der helm einmal runterfällt zerspringt er wie prozellan

du nimmst 250ml bondo dazu 3 % härter ausrechnen dann 250ml resin und 3 % ausrechnen . nimm die 250+250 misch es und zum schluss wenn es so dickflüssig sit mach den härter dazu.
Ich selbst werde ws auch mit fieberglas arbeiten da es eben wegen bruchgefahr zu riskant ist. aber rondo + fieberglas ist unzerstörbar!

It's like bondo, but it has fiberglass threads all in it and it is a lot stronger than just a regular rondo mixture and the process is the same as using regular rondo. Thorn696 used it in his Spartan build and he would be the best resource that I could refer you to for it. I would get with him by PM or in his thread to see about the exact mixing and use of it. He was telling me about it and that is what I want to try to harden my stuff when I get to it and I'll be contacting him for more info on it too. And if I read it right, I think that is what PigBenis was saying about mixing in the fiberglass too. Like I said though. . . . my German is little rusty so I might have misunderstood what he was saying about making it being indestructible. . . . LOL. Hope this helps.

Hello everyone, it's been a while since my last post. Hope you're all doing good and getting things done in your armories.

Here's some of my progress from the past 4 or 5 weeks i can't really remember due to work.

I also finished the right hand thigh and the left handplate.

I also put the two chest parts together (MkVI chestpiece plus recon part) i hope you can see it in the pic. The quality is not the best one around, i had to use my cell phone.

Update: That cat guys, the chestpiece seems to be interesting to such an extent she can't be pulled from it whatever i'm trying
