so i stumbed upon a Bricks Art Store (here in Portland), and it turns out they had some yellow filter plastic... similar to ones you'd use on stage lighting. I got a 18x24 sheet for $3....

Btw... i originally tried a clear plastic Visor i found at ace hardware (motorcycle-esq) for $6.99 and lightly spray painted it with gold... but the vision was just too blurred. You could only make out figures, no details... and because i want him to actually play with the mask (safely) i scrapped it and went with the yellow plastic filter. But here's what it looked like.

it looked cool, but wasn't too functional. Next time i'll probably just get a gold mask off of ebay for $20ish bucks and go that route.

This looks amazing. One thing that I love most is how the colors are dimmed down and tarnished in areas to make it look battle worn. You often see people use full saturated colors on any costume Halo or not, and it makes it look plastic like. But you nailed the metal look very nicely. The foam edges add well to this worn battered look.

Pulled out the suit to get ready for the Halo Collection Launch party here in Portland, Oregon on November 10th.

1st test fitting in a while.
