thanks, that shorts picture was an early progress picture. Hadn't finished the boots in that pic.

Halo 4 launch was awesome. Hit up the local gamestop, hung out for a few hours chatting and taking pictures with everyone. 75-100 people total. Everyone LOVED the suit. Trying to track down some pictures, when i do i'll upload em. At the end, they hooked me up with Posters, Dog tags, Keychains, and stickers.

Wowza, great work! I think your paint job deserves a big thumbs up. Super well done, it adds a tonne of depth to the piece.

hey everyone! so... my son always admires my helmet and makes me wear it whenever it catches his eye. He's only 2 and a half so i don't think building an actual helmet would work too well, yet.... SO, i bought an extra spiderman mask, and made some changes. These pictures are at about 95% complete... still have a few tweaks and paint to apply.... PLUS a visor... thinking about buying a 8.5x11 plastic canvas from joann's.... but would need info on how to dye yellow. So any help is welcome. :)

Here is the original mask

Anyway, thought it was fun and if anyone is interested in doing the same, it's a nights worth of foaming, and then some paint. :)

.... but would need info on how to dye yellow...

Redshirt has a tint your own visor tut that is stickyed, but i dont think you would want to spend that much money on a kids helmet. I would say to go with either the light spray paint method (you very lightly spray gold/ yellow spray paint over a clear visor to tint it) or to buy some of those yellow fillers they use for stage lights. But otherwise it looks great! Heck, by next year you might have a mini Carter costume for your son to match yours!
