Hello! Saw you posted about Rondo so I decided to give you a link to BenStreeper. He truly is a master at making armor and has excellent tutorial videos. He shows you how to mix the bondo and resin. It's not so much about how much of each to put it, rather it's just about getting the bondo...
I would love to look at these pics, but I believe they are linked directly to your computer hard drive. You'll have to upload the pics to an online website for us to see them.
I don't think the thickness of the cardstock is about looking better. I believe it is more about not warping when applying coats of resin to the outside.
You don't have to use fiberglass cloth the way I understand it. You could Rondo the inside. It'll be heavier then fiberglass but it will still be strong.
Same thing happened to me in an unrelated news story. They talked to me for 10 minutes and showed about 10 seconds of unrelated video on television. Nice armor and way to go on making the news!
Good idea with the food dye Fury101! I've wanted to work with aqua resin but I passed just for the simple reason I can't buy it at the local walmart. It's good to hear that aqua resin (or jesmonite) works well though!
Hey man it's ok. My first helmet I made a week ago and it was completely held together with tape. So your most certainly are not the first to do something like that. Let me know how your armor holds up though. I need an idea of how mine is going to react.
