I didn't want to modify it that much at all... I just don't want a huge bulky chest piece just because I'm large chested when I'm a smaller girl. I also figured if it fit my body shape better I would be more comfortable.

This seems great for a energy sword... I was also thinking about the double layer visor. If they could do that you'd get a nice clean cut out and you wont have to worry about ruining your visor. Nice find!
