Thanks! My goal is to have the helmet done by Halloween. Since I'm not doing full armor (yet anyway) I figure this is a goal I'll be able to reach. I checked out your Colonial Marine armor too, nice job! It's looking great! I love the Aliens movies and I'm looking forward to the new game. Stay frosty marine

Fingers crossed! I waited and got my heat gun back and tried it, but it started to bubble. About 30 mins ago I put another hot batch of resin on. I'll update when I have a result.

Hello everyone. I've been busy working on my helmet so sorry for the delay of pictures. Resin went great after all, I just wasn't patient at first. I rondo'd the inside of the helmet and have been busy with the bondo and glazing paste on the outside. Anyway here are some more progress pics to keep everyone in the loop. I'm getting ready to do final details maybe a slight bit more sanding and then paint!

Sweet dude, good job. The primer will bring out more details that you might want to fix, just to warn you. I'm working on my first pep but I've done body work before. I'm glad I read this cause I was wondering where that little square detail that is next to the visor went, I'm sure I'd figure it out but now I know. Thanks

UPDATE:

Lights, camera, you know the rest. Almost ready for Halloween. Unfortunately I went cheap on the visor so it's not gold. I'm probably going to tint the visor a little since I'm low on cash to buy a gold mirror visor. I'm also going to add the visor detail. One good thing that came out of it was I got the lights installed no problem. Hope you like:

Thanks! I've just realized how much work goes into this stuff! It's worth it though. Putting the finishing touches on it now. More pics to come soon.

nice bondoing! just a tip: if you see some bubble holes or small parts you need to fill, use some drywall filler (what youu get in the tube and is red). make sure to use a mask or respirator, because research proves that the product can cause illness.

All finished just in time for Halloween. This year since I don't have a full suit I'll be going as casual friday master chief lol.
