405th paintball/airsoft team?

The title says it all: should the 405th have an airsoft or paintball team? We could have tournaments, or fight the 501st or something. As I said in the other topic, Sorry about posting two forums on the topics.
would an administaror please delete the one with only one question?

I think this is something that would have to be saved until after local chapters were established. Most of us are geographically separated and this wouldn't easily be possible.

we dont have sponsers here, theres no point in having a team....we're trying to get this place back inshape

Yeah, most people are too far away to have a team for.

Maybe one in texas though because it seems everyone lives there.


But also even if we were remotely close, age differences and gun differences are quite a big challenge because a lot of people have backyard airsoft guns.


It would be cool but for it to work out, it would be really hard.


But that's not to say we can't all attend a big op like lion claws, irene, thunder, etc.



Thunder is one that accepts everyone, unlike Irene and LC. It's based on the midwest and it's the biggest airsoft event in the midwest. I'm attending the next one probably, but that'd be one that you guys should go to.

its hard for my group to congregate, and we are all in a few miles of each other...so how is international playing gonna work?

Airsoft is awesome . I'm trying to make armor as well (Master Chief (of course)). I play with a bunch of my friends weekly, and they get DESTROYED!!! ( which is why I went with the Chief).

MC would be cool on an airsoft field but I do see two possible problems:
Mobility/sight....... you will have a total coverage of armor on lol.
Knowing when you are hit..... maybe not a problem but if you have an armor set that doesnt let you know when you are hit there could be problems.
If you can get it work I would say, AWESOME! I will let you know if I get a good airsoft weapon up and running.

Thats not necessarily bad depending on what you are doing. You could be like the British in their red uniforms lol, confident and collected. Just as long as their arnt any revolutionary units nearby lol

I suppose if you have good fitting armor then you arnt any bigger of a target as a combatant with a tactical vest, drop leg holster, and a big 'ol helmet on. Plus the awesome effect is just soooo worth it! Imagine some noob airsofter watching in horror as Master Chief runs at him!

On another note, instead of having a team, we could set a date and have a big game, sure not everyone could come especially international members but setting up a game for people who are able to attend would be neat.
Heck for that matter, we could have any kind of 405 community gathering, where we all meet the face behind the 'poster' bring our armor, play some H3, whatever.

Yeah... if not, there could be a yearly tournament against the 501st, in one location, so that way people will know that it is always there.
