Armor customization (Halo Infinite)

Known in-game as the Armor Hall, armor customization in Halo Infinite allow players to customize their Spartan player model. Inspired by Halo: Reach's armor customization, Halo Infinite has a greatly expanded array of player customization compared to previous entries in the series.

I have the Mark VII armor pieces (courtesy of TitlewaveDesigns on Etsy) but the chestpiece I want is the AAP/DAKH Ordnance Pack (basically the metal plates and ammo clips chestpiece) and wanted advice on how to best do that. My modeling skills are subpar, but people think it would be best I could learn to make it myself. I was also thinking ideas like paper folds or foam cutouts and attaching it to the plastic 3D printed armor.

I think that there's similar stuff in halo reach, you might be able to borrow the attachments from that part of the armoury. If you making it by hand then you could just eyeball the parts, attachments don't have to be exact scale in the same way that the main armour does to look right.

For now you could use EVA foam to create a version of the attachment by freehanding. Just be conservative with the glue so you can potentially take if off if you want to print it in the future! I'm sure there will be eventually a version created for 3d printing or foam!
