Hey Guys,
Sorry that I haven't posted any major updates lately. I have been hard at work on fiberglassing. I have successfully completed the left arm and shoulder pieces and have half-way finished one of the boots. I plan to finish the arm peices (sholders, forearms, and hand plates) tomorrow. I'll post some pics as soon as that is finished. My next thing to fiberglass will be the helmet, then the chest, lower chest, belt, and then the legs/boots. Wish me luck as I plan to finish this before September.

PS: Thanks for the previous two comments.

Hey Guys,
This is Adulese again. After the past weeks of crappy weather I didn't get much done. However, I have started progress back up and am completing parts faster than ever. I will be posting some update pictures once these pieces dry, which should be later today. Keep it fresh.

That is what I have done with my first sheet of fiberglass. Tomorrow I go out for a restocking trip and do an all day session. Wish me luck, I think I am going to need it.

Well, yesturday was a bit of a dud. While I got a hell of a lot of work done before the rain kicked in, I didn't get as much as I planned. Today seems to be going alright though, as I am now right on schedule. I'll take some pics of today's progress tonight. Stay tuned.

Hey guys,
It's Adulese again. Well Day 2 of the "Work Till Its Done" All Day Sessions for my armor. Today I have finished fiberglassing all of my shoulders, my second arm and almost finished my chest/back's fiberglassing. I also began working with BONDO today and finished one hand plate (still very rough), some of my second hand plate (turning out much better) the top of my helmet, half of my right shoulder and ALL of my right arm. If my camera's batteries didn't just die, I would show you some pics. Well, the will be up in about 30 minutes.

UPDATE:
Well its been raining today and most of yesturday, so I decided to do some Pep work on a weapon. I, of course, chose the AR. So after about 6 hours of work, here is FS's AR:

Oh and does anyone know how to make it hard (like what to do about fiberglassing, since its closed up). Thanks.

That's looking pretty good! Some sanding, and we could have a real piece of work here.

EDIT: The only way I ever thought to strenghen a weapon is to pour some resin or Smoothon inside and swish the weapon around for an even coat.

you do know i made a sectioned ar with supports just to solve that very problem

One way to do it would be to resin the outside a few times, then get a can of low-expansion great stuff foam. Inject a little foam at a time, and give it a chance to expand and harden before injecting more. You'll have to clean the nozzle of the foam can out with acetone or lacquer thinner in between injections, or it'll harden in the straw, though.

If you use the expanding foam, make sure you let it gas-out properly... otherwise it will suck the cardstock inwards and mutilate your weapon... trust me :cautious:

If you want to hear the whole story and what you need to do to prevent any messups, PM me :]

Thanks everyone for your comments and help. Today seems to be going well, so I am going to pull out some pieces that need to dry and work on fixing my belt piece and fiber glassing that today. I will probably do some Bondoing and sanding today as well.
