Ill probably join the reserves in the year i take off between high school and uni, so next year it is!

Not me, but my dad is still proudly serving!

Branch: USMC! HOO RAH!
Rank: Major, got 1.5 more years till retirement
Status: Teaches Navy Seals about CAS. Stupid me, I didn't even think that you people might not know what CAS is! In the movie Transformers, in the scene where the soldiers call the jets in to shoot at the Scorpion, my dad teaches Navy seals how to call in jets to do that. CAS stands for Close Air Support.
Job: Backseater for both F/A-18 Hornet and F-16 Viper. Also a vet of OIF 2 in Fallujah and he served in Japan Korea and......other places.

And believe me, if you ask him what job you should do in the Marines, he will say go to college and fly.

P.S. Oh hey, i'm back from my Shooting Training camp! I shot my first perfect score!!!!!

when i get out of high school and out of college, go into the navy seals i hope and become a lieutenant grade 1, when i go in or go into the marines and do the same if the navy seals don't work out.

Branch: U.S. MARINES (OOORAAH!!!)
Rank: SGT.
Status: Iraqi Vet, served Active duty from (August 13, 2001 - August 13, 2006) Currently waiting for my IRR discharge.
Job: Every Marine is a rifleman...then a, 6433 Avionics Electrical Technician, for intermediate repair of rotary wing aircraft.

My dad is a Sargent in the Texas National Guard. He's been deployed 3 or 4 times. Operations: Just Cause, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom are the only ones I can remember. He's been in for 20 years and used to be one of the best shooters in Texas with a rifle until he got in the car wreck. His official job is a federal technician but he fixes everything. Even things he isn't supposed to. Like a 50 inch plasma screen TV he found in the trash when he was stationed in Balaad. Hahaha. He's currently taking a leave of absence from the military because he is tired of them crapping on him (it's pretty much impossible for him to rank up, thanks beaurocracy) and he is working as a civilian in Iraq right now. When he gets home he is going to retire from the military for good.

FYI don't join the Nat'l Guard, the other branches are better. Trust me.

I plan on going into the Air Force. Not sure what I want to do. Maybe something with computers. Maybe try to fly, but I hate flying anyway so I don't know why I would pursue that career option.

SCUD-B. Or originally 9P117M1.
I worked in it's crew 1987-1989, at the very end of Russian-Afghan war. On the russian side of course :)
What can I say, I was only 19, and service in army was mandatory for all young people there...

Pure evil weapon. It taken so many lives of young soldiers during preparations to missile start, there were so many accidents...
Moreover, this is very poisonous weapon system, missile fuel components are pure death if once inhaled...

Yes, I was part of evil empire once :) and indoctrinated by it's ideology :). Today I'm not, and I'm very happy :)
