Assault Rifle ammo counter

I'm taking one of my laser tag guns and installing it to the top of the hand area, so that the laser tag trigger is the AR's trigger, and the gun shoots in 4-shot bursts in automatic fire, but keeps a steady stream of fire going if you hold down on the trigger, then wiring a display to the counter inside the gun so that it counts down for every sound shot fired, once it hits zero, I switch clips and then, since the reload button is on the side, just drill a hole to the button and press it to reload.
