It's been a minute since I've done a weapon build guide, so what better time to do one than right now. As the title says I'll be doing the ma5k avenger from Infinite specifically. The MA5K is said to be smaller than the MA40 and the lore scale is 26in w/ 15in barrel which seems a bit small to me so I've scaled it up just a tad bigger to fell right in the hand but it's still smaller than my MA40 build.

This will be similar to my ma40 build but there's a few things that I wanna do different, notably a removeable magazine and along with new thickness guide for the build. Once this is finished up I will post a new and updated image of the prop.
You'll need 3/8 & 3/4 dowel, eva foam (10mm, 5mm, 3mm, 2mm) adhesive of your choosing (ca glue or barge contact cement) hobby knife, dremel, cutting matt and small bar magnets if you choose to have a removeable magazine.

:EDIT:
I have updated the image with the foam thickness legend

To print this correctly from Paint, go to Print Preview > Page setup > Adjust to 100% normal size, you'll need 5/6 of the pages for this build.

Not much progress has been made been made so far but once a good amount has been made there will be an update.

So I figured that I'd start off with the magazines. I had to sketch out the basic look of the magazine first to get it look and shape then the process of tracing and cutting them all out. It did take me a minuet on how to get them exactly how I had pictures them.

I had wanted to do them 30mm in total to sit flush with the skeleton of the prop, but then it wouldn't me get some of the detail that I had wanted to get. So I had me them with 20mm and 3mm on either side of it then to use 2mm to make the grooves on the mag which would make it 30mm in total to be flush and sit properly.

With the 2mm groves on I added 3/2mm detail foam to the mag to make it a bit wider so there was something more to grab on to when removing the magazine.

Now with the magazine done it was friction it at first and it held rather well but I wanted some extra holding power. So I added some small bar magnets in the mag well and on top of the magazine and added 2mm foam on top so it was still hold with enough force but still easily removeable.

So I had to get creative when it came to keeping the magazine held in the slot, I out down a base layer of 2mm and laid 3mm over top to get to get some depths on it. Then I got into a grove and forgot to take pictures so I'll just explain it. I closed up the hole with 5mm and then put 2mm and beveled 10mm and finished off that lower receiver. Both the mag release and what I would guess the button to separate the upper and lower receiver are 5mm and the selector switch is 2mm over 3mm. The cheek pad is just 2mm over 5mm

Side note the Infinite model for the MA5K does not have a ejection port so I just kinda made something up

On the buttstock I didn't do anything special I put 10mm on either side to widen out and wrapped it in 2mm to cover up the foam layers and beveled it.
