Okay, after i put in these details, i will probably be stopping the helmet and working on the chest, at least just the fiberglassing. I learned my mistake this time, i rushed into it, so now im going to be taking my time and not using so much bondo (i used 3/4 the can).

Its going to have to be tuesday that i do it, its the only free day this week, but i should be gettin some cash thursday, so its all good.

Again, sorry for the bump, but i have fiberglassed my MK VI helmet while workin on that ezine thing everyone is so happy about.

aight, here it comes....

yeah, im still waiting for the primer to dry, but its comin along. i didnt have enough gloves to make the chest today, but it will be coming later, not till next week at the earliest.

UPDATE 1/4/2009

Wow, has it really been 4 months since my last update? Well, just so you know, there hasnt been much in the way of progress, other than i bondoed my MK.IV helmet, but that was back in september.

Now for the winter, spring, and upcoming summer, i will have money coming in from my job, so i will be able to do armor. Right now, however, with the 30 degree weather outside, i doubt the fiberglass resin will survive the next 4 months, and i know that half a can of bondo is shot. So, i'm gonna just work on my pepakura armor.


Speaking of that, i trashed my paper suit. OMG dont worry, it didnt fit me and was warped anyway, plus it wasn't in HD. I ran out of cardstock at the moment, but trust me, the HD parts are on their way.

In the meantime, i am going to be cranking out the ODST suit that was printed out....before the summer. I did get the back pad done, lol about 5 minutes ago, thats what i have accomplished since september. its not the best, i know, i was kind of rushed.

Now to business-

i have the color scheme and layout plans for the suit. At least, for now. It will be black, with red highlights, i will make the shoulder pieces separate, i plan to add them via either magnet or extra straps, i haven't decided. For now, i am going to use my CQB helmet, and the recon helm will be my backup, with the MK. VI on the side. After a little hiatus, i am back in black.

that damn Xbox keeps dragging away from my workbench, that and the internets.


also, im probably gonna hand-paint the CQB right shoulder i plan making, with a biohazard symbol in red (that is probably the theme of the armor)

ill get a drawing of the armor soon, if i feel like it.
