Out of curiosity, how did you model the lens? As in what kind of features is it made up of?

As I said on Twitter it looks awesome!

Also, I'm just wondering, do you cut out the cardboard supports before after or while your are building the actual piece?





The model is coming out very nicely. By far the best one I've ever seen. Next time someone says a model of yours looks impossible or is too detailed to build, but good for reference, just link them here.

Oh, it was super easy model It consists of only 3 features: Dome -> Linear pattern -> Cut!



P. S. Sure, before that I made base extrude to make base for dome

They made two and gave me two, I dunno why

I cut cardboard WHILE I make the piece, cause I can draw the contour of piece on cardboard only while piece not yet glued

Wow. It doesnt look like pep at all, more like a perfect resin cast. This is truley amazing. Well amazing isnt the word for how good this is, there really isnt one.

Hey bevbor, is it possible for u to post ur unfolded pdo online after u are done with the sniper because the one that is currently unfolded is, uhh.... "not buildable" for lack of a better more appropriate term. I would unfold it myself but my pc crashed and I have to run parallels on mac which is soo slow. So when u have time, is it possible for u to post up ur link.

bevbor has already said countless times that he will not post his unfold. The unfold that has been posted is fine. The fact is, this is an incredibly detailed and complex model. No matter how you unfold it, many people will find it impossible to build.

Oops my bad. guess i shouldve looked first



There r several ways u can unfold it to make it easier. bevbor combined a lot of smaller pieces to make them larger making them easier to build and cut out. the one hats already unfolded has very tiny pieces and the person unfolding it didn't even consider to make the pieces bigger. he just plainly pressed the unfold button and arranged them. This build is possible even for not very experienced builders. All that is needed is a proper unfold
