welp, first the red ring wich took almost a month and a half to get a replacement
and my zune just got corrupted after 3 years and they want 110$s to process and fix it when i can buy a new 30g for between 120-190$s....

yea...bout that MS

Microsoft didn't fool me yet, except for those things like Halo 3 XboX 360 exclusive and Halo 2 Vista Exclusive

That's all.

I agree ur point @baddog about CHEAP LABOR+Microsoft but actually I know someone who works at Microsoft from my country and has a $200.000 annual salary. He worked at OS programming.

The windows API. And MSDN. Both useless. F**k with your brain if you have to program them. Dot.NET Framework FTW!

Really? $50? I though it was free. Guess they would have got me, too.

They made Windows Vista. It sucks horribly. that's how they got ME.
No, what really sucked was Windows ME. Worst OS yet, but people don't remember it. Also, they released Windows 2000 at the same time, which was much better, so everyone got that.

Vista is sweet. because the 64-bit version is so much more better than XP 64-bit. And you know 64-bit is coming, like 32-bit came. AND I DON'T EVEN GET PAID FOR SAYING SUCH NICE THINGS. I guess they got me, too

(btw, most of OSX is 64-bit, there's a though)

Got the Red Ring Of Death yesterday :(. On the day of a Lan 2. yet another perfect example of microsoft's brilliant ingenuity in their products :\.

XNA is (or was) free to download and use. They get you on the back end. Microsoft has been getting me since Windows 1 in some form or fashion. Bill definitely left his "How to Screw the PC Community" book at headquarters when he left.

Hey, I like my Vista. No biggy, personal preferance.

First time I got 3 Flashing Red Lights (I confused it with the Red Ring of Death.) They said I had to send it in, while waiting to get the box to ship it, I red online that 3 lights is a simple fix. They almost got me there.

How about how I got them.

My xbox died from rrod

My friend buys me a new one. Puts my rrod one back in the box all sealed like it's new. Returns it for his money back.

Win for me. Lose for Microsoft. :D

Had a new box within the week.

Edit: I don't suggest doing this. You could get in serious trouble.

Nothing.

I had the Red ring of death recently, considering Microsoft may have had a serious problem with it be glad they are fixing it for free. They could be dicks and say "Your Warranty is up buy a new one" but no they continue to keep on wasting money to fix it for free, which they should since its their screw-up, but be happy and do something else for a few weeks, will it really kill you?

I have Vista and I have had more solutions then problems. Vista has stopped MANY programs I never called for to install on my computer randomly, and so far my computer is just about Virus free. The only people who are whining about Vista are those that have computers that can't handle it. This is the future, UPGRADE, you need a good 3GB of RAM and a decent Video Card and Processor to use Vista, which usually doesn't cost more then $800+. I understand some people can't afford that, but a good 75% of the people who think Vista is bad could afford the extra money to put into a few upgrades. Then there is the crowd that complains with compatibility, VISTA SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CATER TO ALL GAMES. In other words, Vista shouldn't have to worry about compatibility because most of the time its the game developers that do not make the game work perfectly for Vista. When people whine about it they just assume its Vista's fault when its really the Developers. Not to mention its not to hard to run the program in compatibility mode, which has solved every problem I have ever had with an old program. Others just complain about the design and look, which is fine but also a bit funny. You can easily make Vista look like XP but some people are weird like that. I don't like Mac for its look and feel (And its severe lack of Games).

Isn't XNA free but doesn't it cost only to publish it? "Developers can create Windows games for free with the XNA Framework, but to run their games on the Xbox 360 they will have to pay an annual fee of US$99 (or a four-month fee of US$49) for admission to the Microsoft XNA Creator's Club/XNA "Creator's Club" I consider that a GREAT deal, since you can make your own games for free. It just costs a fee to PUBLISH them freely. How else do you expect a company to make money?

End Rant.

Off to Warhammer Online :p

Dudes let me tell u something.

RROD:Windows' tactical marketing for the stupid ones to buy XboX 360 forever.Clever ones fix this by any means necessary.

Windows Vista:Already the Internet viruses have targeted Vista. The worst security=Vista.Resources are not included because it will be like XP when it was released. The industry will go further only for Vista(memory,video,audio...)

64-bit:Lack of compatibility with many things that can be installed, from Games until Applications.

I hope this helped you:D

Why the hell do people bash Vista so much? My security system is excellent, I got Norton Antivirus 360 FREE with my computer. Not only does it scan and fix viruses on a weekly schedule, it back's up my important files to a second hard drive blocked from EVERYTHING except Norton. If my computer crashes, it will automatically restore the missing files.

Vista also plays original games meant for Windows ME and 98, I play Freedom Force on my Vista.

Stop bashing Vista unless you have used it more then a week. I have had Vista for over a year now, and it still hasn't crashed, collect viruses, or stopped me from playing those original games I cherish.

Just a quick rant on people afraid of change.

You know we should seriously consider instituting some kina age limit here, or make the potential memebers take I dunno a manners test and a intelligence test.

I'm not trying to start a flame or argument, but I would like to inform Ultrakiller of your false Information.

One of the many programs that has been featured in Windows is a nice System Restore feature, that recently with Vista (or XP I'm not sure) automatically updates itself. If you ever have a crash due to a program you can use system restore to move back to what your computer was originally was before you installed that program. It automatically back-ups all important files, so if you mess with your registry and delete something on accident you can simply replace it all with system restore rather then having to be stuck in Safe mode.

Compared to XP, Vista has a fantastic security, though by itself of course would fail. You are meant to support your own virus protector on top of Vista's to truly keep your system safe. Considering there are plenty of free or very cheap virus protection programs out there, there is no reason not to have one. If you don't want the responsibility to look after your computer then buy a Mac since they seem to look after themselves rather well.

Compatibility, once again, give me the name of the game that won't work and I will tell you the solution or why it doesn't work. I can only think of a few games off the top of my head that don't work with with Vista period most due to developers not releasing it for us..

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
Just Cause
Second Life
Rise of Nations

I find it strange though since it works for some but not for others. All you really have to do is look for a simple solution online. OR run it in compatibility, that is how I am running Total Annihilation, Dune 2000, and Blade Runner, not to mention Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (FTW). As for applications I looked on a list on non-compatible and I only found some that I never even heard of that look like a major rip off of a major one. I don't know where you got that information. Maybe I am just lucky because every game and application I ever wanted to use is working on my computer AND my fathers 64-bit (I run 32) with minor tweaking and a little time spent looking up information.

(You can see most of this by Opinion if you want, but I have used XP for years and Vista for little over a year and I have noticed a great difference)

@Evil Taylor: I agree :p
