Borderlands psycho mask - Small question

Hey all,

I've been a member here for a long time but really dropped out of the scene for a while (College will do that to you) anyways, I'm planning on going as a psycho for Fan Expo this year, and so far the costume is coming along great. I'm almost done the gluing of my pepakura mask, printed on card stock, and I'm excited to resin/fibreglass etc to see how it looks. I'm aware there are a hundred tutorials about that, so dont worry I shouldnt have any questions regarding that. What I AM having trouble with is how I'm going to do the eyes. I saw the LEDs, and I'm going to do that, but I noticed they used a type of see through black fabric over the eye holes to allow for a dark look while still being able to see. So I have no idea how to do that.

My questions:

What is the material I would use for that?
How would it be attached to my mask?

First things that comes to my mind is Halloween masks, you know the scream ones? They have black fabric over their eyes that the wearer can see through but not vice versa. Maybe you can get your hands on one or find out what it's made of. Just an idea.
