Hey all.
Working on my armor's lighting and was inspired by Adam's video on cheap LED lights (
). He suggests cheap $1 reading lights from your local dollar store. Brilliant idea.
I was having a rough time hunting those down at my local dollar shops, cheapest I could find were $6+ lights at CVS / Rite Aid. So I went to eBay. BAM. Found these little guys, 99 cents, free shipping (internationally too, how the hell do they make money?), complete with batteries. They even have switches.
Unscrew the top, take out the insides surrounding the bulb, start breaking the plastic off... and ripped apart, you get a little something like this. Super bright.
Haven't installed it in my helmet / chest piece / arms just yet (I have to buy the tiny drill to make the holes), but I just know it's gonna look great.
To find 'em on eBay, search for "mini led clip book" or any variation of those terms. You'll see them popping up. Some sellers sell them one at a time, others in lots of three, five, etc.
Hope this can help anyone else who was having a hard time like I was.
