I'm not dead! Wow, what a surprise...

I thought I would share what I've made.

It's really hard to see out of. I don't cosplay or anything, so it's not that important. This was a *great learning experience,* but with this knowledge of materials and comprehension of the process, I can build better things!

It's coming along nicely. Also is there no issues with the wires around the hinge?

As a matter of fact, no. The wires are so close to the hinge that the radius that they pivot on is negligible. As a general rule, they need to be at least the length needed to cross when the helmet is open; that way they can compress when it is closed. If they are any shorter, the hinge will pry them from their positions upon opening.

That's a pretty cool helmet. What are these "better things" you speak of building? If it's better than that then it would be pretty freakin amazing! Really nice work.

The CIO helmet scares me, well done for making a real one with the same effect e.e

Looks great. very form fitting. think I might get claustrophobia wearing something like this though....

I downloaded the pdo of the copperhead helmet... If you've seen it, you know it's a piece of work. The entire front section is a mess to look at, but I'm just too attracted to the Metroid vibe it gives off to pass up the build. The plan is to build it in the future, like the summer when it's warm to work outside. Another day... another day...
