Awww darn! You beat me to it sean. You are correct. In the picture in the first post, from left to right it is, Rookie, Romeo, Dutch, Unknown recon, and also unknown.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new odst armor variants. I also like the idea of an odst "recon" type of variant. Like, you can unlock regular recon with the new vidmaster achievements, but there's a new permutation that you have to work extra hard to get. Overall though, I'm just happy that odst seems to be on track for a fall release.

Now I'm confused. We're short one person in the photo.

If the person recon is Captain Dare (as Halopedia states), and the one with the sniper rifle is Romeo (marksman), and the guy with the Rockets is Dutch (the heavy weapons specialist, and then who is the soldier on the far right, Buck, or Mickey???

Seems like theres a hole in the information about those two guys... and one of them isn't shown in this image... wonder if that's relevant?

Maybe Buck is on one side, and Mickey is on the other, and the Rookie is the one missing from the image?

ok... ok... i have to say this.... sorry for eveyone who loves the recon helm... but that picture makes me want to gag. the recon helmet just doesnt fit with the rest and makes me very very sad. if it isnt on a full suit of armor for a spartan it looks bad and really stupid... and why does the recon helm look photoshopped?

now i know this is bungie's decison and all... but the helmet looks... uhhg... sorry to everyone. i know its halo 3 recon but why. odst looked cool cause it was odst... 4 odst helms and suits why the one recon that stands out like pink cow in a bunch of normal black and white and brown cows.. its like painting a target on the guy with funny hair and the high pitched voice (sorry screech from safe by the bell)

i know its my opinion and som may tak some offence to it... but has anyone thought... recon is only really really popular and cool because bungie didnt give it to the community and kept it for themselfs.

anyways my personal opinion would be for bungie to give all of them different colors and mixes of armor but all the same helmets... really whats would be better. actual odst.. or the one wanna be spartan on your team of five.. half the time your gonna want to betray that guy cause he looks different or cause you want to be wearing that armor... anyways im done for that.

MAN you guys are making E3 take even longer to come! I hope they dont accedently ruin half the plot like they did in one of the terminator salvation trailers.

I think if the visor of the Recon was the same color as the ODSTs, it would be better. Also, no shoulderpads just make the soldier look weakish. :/

I recognized Adam Baldwin's (Jayne from Firefly) voice in there in the Bungie presentation, I think he plays the voice of Dutch. I also recognized Burnie Burns (the voice of Church from RvB) as the squad leader.
