Found it with Google, took only a minute. Remember to do a search before asking questions. It doesn't stress enough (or maybe not at all, I only skimmed it) that current is the problem with LEDs, but otherwise it seems like a good start if you've never dealt with LEDs before.

The alternative would be to get cheap LED lights from a Dollar store and rip them apart.

Once you're done wiring them up, you glue them in and are done. Some opaque plastic can diffuse the light, if that's the desired effect.

Wait? Why? If you have a specific question, by all means go ahead and ask it.

Fans work the same way as LEDs, except they need different voltages and are less touchy about current. Again, there's a ton of resources on that topic, just look at how other people have done it if you can't find anything that explicitly wants to be a tutorial. You can also use Google to search the 405th by adding "site:405th.com" (without the quotes) as a keyword.

As Ventrue said, you might want to do some search first. There is a sticky on electronics. Did you search there first?

As an advice, I suggest that you provide all the details before shooting off one-liner-question. For instance, do you have all the parts. If you have all the parts, and if you have played with simple wiring of electronics, installing fan should not be an issue.

Everyone has different technique. I simply wired the fan with a 9V battery and hot glue inside the helmet. Other may have different method.

And finally, might I suggest that you use proper capitalization and punctuation on your sentences. It makes reading easier.

You expect the tutorials to give you baby steps on how to install a fan? Most of us provide a general idea on what to do in tutorial. How you tackle the problem is entirely up to you. Like I said, you get a fan, wire it, power it with 9V and stick it in the helmet. How you solve it, well, that is part of the fun in making an armor.

A ceiling fan or a 12" table fan will work...of course the smaller the better. What uses small fan? electronics. What electronics? Computers or any electronics that need cooling. Who sells electronics parts? Radio Shack or hobby store. In fact I just bought 2 1.5" fans today. See my MK VI costumes that I made for my kids last year. I have a photo where I installed the fans.

From the electronical side, your computer fan will have two or three wires. The black one is ground/negative, the red one is positive and the white one, if present, is for speed control and in your case superfluous. The package or the label on the fan will tell you what voltage you need, pick your batteries accordingly and just wire it up. Put in a switch if you want to turn it off without removing the batteries.

As large as possible, but since it has to fit into the helmet, that's not going to be very large.

Okay the artist in me is screaming that working through problems on your own is part of creativity.

But the teacher in me can't leave you without solid help.

Here were my steps.
1. Read EVERY sticky on this forum. That helped me realize that experienced builders get frustrated when you ask for them to hold your hand through every step of the process.
