Does anyone know if fiberglass will work on the Halo 3 BR?

I was thinking of using the cardstock to make the shape and details of the battlerifle and then use fiberglass and resin to strengthen it. But..i don't want it to be shiny when i spray paint it. Also...how do i smoothen the surface out like the suits fiberglass suits you guys have?

Palm-sander and wet/dry sandpaper.

1. If you don't want it shiny, use a flat or matte paint and some good primer.

2. Sand it down with medium-to-fine grit (I'm not sure which one) sandpaper or sanding tools.

use a high grit sand paper like 1000 to sand it after you paint it
