Hi guys / gals
I'm currently working on my Iron Man Helmet and I thought I'd share this with you.
Some of you may find it usefull others may think WTF!!!

I had a standard size Scribe for the dremel but I found this to be to large for what I needed.
So I purchased a smaller Scribe unfortunately I only have the standard size collet, so when I tried to use the smaller Scribe the collet would not grip properly I was about to order a smaller collet when I decided to try wrapping a small amount of electric tape around the Scribe.
It now works perfectly and has saved me a few £ and a long wait for it to be delivered.

Hope this little tit bit of advice helps some in some way.

You do realize the danger of not using the proper collet right? You risk the chance of the tool spinning and possibly flying outwards and away from your dremel with the potential to fly into your face or someone elses. Possibly causing severe injury....

Word of advice, get a faceshield at minimum if you don't want to spend the cash on the other collet.

The electric tape holds it firmly in place and with a scribe you dont apply that much pressure to be honest. But that being said you are correct it what you say and I do plan on purchasing the correct collet & I always wear eye protection when using my dremel.
I do however thankyou for pointing out the dangers of doing this regardless if it works or not there is always a danger.
This for now will suffice.
