Esy`s Mega build!

So small upgrade. I revive my resin printer and printed some detailed parts for my helmet. Im always fascinated how nicely it can print and how much hustle is to clean everything:D

In the meantime I printed my bicepse part and try to test fit it with the whole torso.
I do belive its having nice bulky heavy spartan situete im goin for. But Ill need to cut the ribcage and modify it a bit. Its blocking my arms bit too much.

And so you cannot say i was slacking it. I finish the back part of the halo tv series machinegun with details. And started working on the main body. Slowly but surely its coming nicelly!

And last message to anyone, check what you printing. Just finished printing the same part of the thights twice:D

Now I need to make my manequin so scultping the ribcage can be easier. And then Ill start working on my "musce suit" to hold the whole thing sit in place and make shoulders wider and thicken bit of my arms. At the end it will be covered bu underarmor. But still will be nice to have the suit which will help center the whole armor..

Make sure your wearing gloves and a respirator when using the resin and printer. But yea i love how clean resin prints look even right off the bed. maintenance on them is also easy but its all counter balanced by how hard the materials are to keep safe and secure.

the suit is coming along really well good job and im loving the turret updates.

Did a lot of printing, my two printer are going basically 24/7 will do update soon!

And I put some hours into my machinegun. Its getting close to be finish and imi looking forward to start printing and building this baby. Already ordered some aluminium pipes and bearings!

I would be cautious and do research with your local conventions on if you would be able to take this to a convention if there are alluminum pipes for the barrels.
I haven't looked into it myself, it may not even be an issue, but I would hate to hear you couldn't bring it to a con because of it.

Some alternatives could be wooden dowels, pvc (Likely too flexible?), or carbon fiber rods.

As I said, may not even be an issue, but make sure to double check around if you have any conventions in mind!

With the warning out of the way.. You're making great progress on this turret! I love this style way more than what Halo 4, 5, and Infinite have. Keep on plugin away, I look forward to seeing this turret project through!

Good thinking sir! Will check, I think if ill be able to pull everything and make it real, it would be a shame to not take it to any con. It will be my first suit I will build, but the time and energy I put in it is huge so people should see it atleast once.

Ok, so almost all the parts are printed. I’m just missing the module with the monitor, which I’ll print on the resin printer so it looks nice and I can make it hollow to easily fit the electronics inside. Now I need to start filing and sanding the FDM-printed parts, and begin measuring the printed bolt heads so I can sand them down and drill real holes to replace them with actual bolts. I think that will make the final result look much better.
Wow! This is so neat, I had no idea you can do so many little details and attach together like this. It's going to look amazing when you're fully finished!

So just a small update. I did some printing.. The build is going through my fillament supplies pretty quick..

Now ill start working on strapping the parts and then ill proceed to sanding and filling.

And the machine gun in its glory. I love the design :D

And another part of my journey will be make the manequin, so I can modify the torso rib cage.. Looking forward to get ducttaped :D

Another update. I finished printing all the parts for the legs And printing smaller torso, so will see what looks the best. In th meantime I gatheres some materials for the machinegun build Aluminium pipes bearing and now im deciding what motor put in it.

After I successfully draw the whoel machinegun, what at begining was impossible task. Then figure out how to make this thing hold together and not crumble by its weight was another quest. At the end I make main assembly, which will be inserted inside and will be connected for both handles. main structural part will be from metal so I sure it will not bend or crack..

And still it need to be "Easy" to assemble and dissasemble.

And last update, which does not need a pictue. I assembled voice amp so I can have good sound for me! Just simple mic amp speaker solution.

One of the things im looking for is buying dragon skin and learning how to cast it. It will be fun, I hope!

So now my halo armor is on holt before ill get the manequin done. My firend ditched me to duct tape my last week so waiting for him! Then Ill be able to finally tweek the ribcage on my torso to be satisfied and then Ill progress to another phase with the armor. Sanding bonding etc..

In he meantime I progress with my machine gun model. I over engineered a bit. The whole design is designed to be fully assembed and dissasembled with metric screws. Still figuring out proper motor to power this beauty. And finalizing last parts for good assembly.

Pepsi for the scale.. Its massive!

Next part im almost finsihed with mold just missing the last layer of filler to make it butter smooth for my neck piece to start learning with dragon skin.

So not much has happened with my armor yet. I am still missing the figure I need to modify my torso. Instead, I spent my time finalizing the design of the machine gun, which took a bit longer because I wanted everything to fit perfectly and be easy to assemble. But it is getting there. I printed most of the parts and they fit really well. Unfortunately, I ran into a print issue with the main body, which is supposed to be a single piece. I had to resume a failed print because the supports fell down.

For now, I dry fitted everything I have printed, and it looks gorgeous.

The only problem I have is with the coupler that should hold all the pipes together on the central shaft. It is slightly crooked. It is nothing extreme, but considering the barrels are over 700 mm long, it would wobble like crazy. So I need to come up with a different solution. I basically have two options. I can try to calibrate my printer, level the bed perfectly, and pray. Or I can machine it on a CNC, which would make it perfectly straight, but it would also add extra weight, which is something I am trying to avoid.

Here is a picture of everything dry fitted together.
